Accept rides to and from Queenstown Airport.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off Zone
Ola has landed at Queenstown Airport! Riders can now be picked up and dropped off right outside the terminal.
Ola pick-up and drop-off is only allowed from inside the App-Based Zone. This is the same zone used for taxis. Please see the map to the right for the exact location.
To receive airport requests, you must register with Queenstown Airport and have a registered Proximity Card. To register with Queenstown Airport, drivers must:
- Hold vehicle insurance with public liability cover of $5 million
- Have an Ola TSL or your own TSL
- Be an authorised Ola driver
- Hold a Queenstown Airport Proximity Card
Register with Queenstown Airport
Once your application to drive with Ola is complete, you will receive an email with the instructions on registering with the airport.
Rideshare at the Airport
The charge for entering the App-Based Zone is $7.00 + GST which is deducted from your Proximity Card. This amount is charged to riders and paid to drivers as part of the trip earnings. It is your responsibility to ensure you have sufficient funds on your Proximity Card to enter the App-Based Zone.
There is currently no Waiting Zone at Queenstown Airport.
Airport Terms and Conditions
You can only complete Queenstown Airport pick-ups and drop-offs in the App-Based Zone and only if you have a valid registration. Drivers breaking this by-law will be penalised by Queenstown Airport.
If you receive an airport trip and are not registered with Queenstown Airport, you must utilise Lucas Place, or cancel the trip.
Under no circumstances should drivers utilise public areas, including the P2 lane. Infringement fines will be issued to drivers completing trips in public areas.
