Ola continues its Australian expansion with Melbourne launch

Quality-focussed ridesharing platform launches in its third city with free rides for customers and increased earnings potential for drivers

Melbourne – Australia, April 12 2018: Following successful launches in Perth and Sydney earlier this year, Ola, one of the world’s largest ride sharing platforms, is now available in Melbourne.

To celebrate its launch in the Victorian state capital, Ola is offering customers free rides from today. Customers can download the Ola app either from Google Play, or iOS App Store, register for an Ola account and begin booking rides.

With its refreshing approach to ridesharing, Ola continues to receive a positive response from drivers with over 15,000 registrations across Australia. Ola offers drivers a market low 7.5% introductory commission rate and daily payments, helping them earn more money and access it easily.

Following its first Town Hall event attended by over 100 of its earliest drivers in Australia, Ola is also developing a number of new initiatives for its customers and drivers. These include updates to the Ola app and building its local support team that will help build a better rideshare experience.
